Hourly pay lots are a short distance from the courthouse, and metered parking is available on the side streets. The courthouse is reachable on the MBTA Providence and Stoughton commuter rail line and on the Greater Attleboro Taunton Regional Transit Authority. The courthouse is near I-95 and Route 1.

The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office prosecutes criminal cases in the Attleboro District Court. The court hears cases from the Bristol County towns along I-95 and the Rhode Island border. The court’s caseload includes cases from concerts at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield and motor vehicle cases, many against out-of-state defendants. Concert and Event Cases. Large crowds attend concerts at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield in the summer. The Attleboro District Court hears many OUI, disorderly conduct, trespass, and alcohol cases from concerts at the Xfinity Center, many against concertgoers who live in other states. Many concert cases can end at the clerk-magistrate hearing. Attorney Serpa can often attend the hearing on behalf of an out-of-state client, so that the client does not have to return to Massachusetts.

Motor Vehicle and Border Cases. Many motor vehicle cases in the Attleboro District Court begin with a traffic stop on I-95. Many of the drivers stopped on I-95 live in Rhode Island.

A driver who receives a citation for a misdemeanor motor vehicle offense, with no felony charge and no arrest, may ask the clerk-magistrate in writing for a hearing before a criminal complaint issues. The driver has four days from the date of the violation to make the written request. G.L. c. 90C, § 3(B)(2). The court also hears domestic violence, drug, and theft cases.
